Parallel and differently oriented line systems form the basis of this series.
Through repeated and layered applications of paint on dark surfaces, colour
gains intensity against the underlying ground.
As the lines overlap, colours become denser and new structures emerge.
Rhythm, spacing and small shifts determine the composition. Depending on their
direction and density, the lines can appear ordered or unstable, flat or spatial.
The works are developed in series, with each painting introducing variations within
the same basic structure. Small changes can lead to very different spatial and 
perceptual effects.
