Christian Eder
Vienna-based Austrian Contemporary Artist
Working between Vienna, Illmitz and Bregenz.
Christian Eder's practice is rooted in painting, object-based works and spatial systems, and
develops through long-term serial processes shaped by reduction, variation and displacement.
The works emerge through serial structures as well as more open configurations. While grounded
in defined systems, each work maintains its own autonomy. Small shifts in line, order and spacing
can become decisive, generating subtle yet complex spatial relations.
Across different sites and spatial contexts, painting is not understood as representation but as a
spatial condition shaped by its surroundings and architectural context.
Selected works are held in public collections in Austria.
